Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people? Warren W. Wiersbe tackles this question as he explores the life of Job in his commentary Be Patient. Through Job's story, we are reminded of God's sovereignty and encouraged to endure the suffering in our own lives.

In a single day, Job's wealth was plundered, his ten children were killed, and his health was taken. His friends judged him and his wife did not stand by her man. But Job held on to his trust in Almighty God-a Father who is always good and always faithful. In addition to restoring his wealth and relationships, God gave Job a much greater blessing: a deeper knowledge of Himself and His ways.

Trust the pastor's pastor, Warren W. Wiersbe, to guide readers into a better understanding of God's sovereignty as they face trials in their own lives.

Wiersbe does it again

Warren Wiersbe is one of my favorite Bible commentators because of his writing style. It's almost conversational, very easy and straightforward reading, and rich with thought and detail. More than 20 years ago I asked for (and received) Wiersbe's 2-volume BE series on the New Testament as a Christmas present, and I often read it for pleasure, not necessarily as part of a Bible study but just because it's so interesting and reads like a Bible story book. This book,

Great study guide

I will be getting more of his guides--very straight forward, conversational text.

Job vs Wiersbe's Commentary

I think I am rating this book with 4 stars because of the content of Job not the commentary. I have read many of Wiersbe's commentarys which have made the hardest books of the Bible understandable, but today I feel flat. Not satisfied. But again I believe the subject not the commentary is to blame.

Great help

As usual, Warren Wiersbe writes a book that helps with the understanding the book of Job. It is highly recommended.

Dr. Wiersbe Never Disappoints

I typically only thought of the book of Job as the book on suffering. Through Dr. Wiersbe's teaching, I understand this book is so much more. Teaches things from how we should relate to others by showing love, compassion and forgiveness all the way to God's unexplainable majesty and how He always writes the final chapter. Highly recommend this book to anyone wanting a deeper understanding of Job.

This was so encouraging to me

This book has helped me so much to grow even in my deep grief of losing my love. I have studied Job many times but appreciate the insight Warren Wiersbe brings to many times read passages. I look forward to meeting him someday.

Not verse by verse commentary as I wanted.

This book "waiting on God in difficult times" by Warren Wiersbe is a great book explaning generally the Bible book of Job and the larger picture. It does not go verse by verse nor does he agree with me the about the leviathin.Still,I learned a lot and all in all a solid book about poor Job,his 3 friends,a wiser young friend, and Gods rebuttal.

Commentary on Job

Wiersbe provides insightful commentary on Job with good questions that allows the reader to apply the lessons of Job to their life. Reading this book along with Job made all the long speeches in Job more tolerable.

What a blessed book

The book is well narrated and distributed in distinct phases of job life. More important the parallel drawn between Jobs life and our own lives is only by God's blessing. I will rate this book as one of my best from Warren W Wiersbe series, offcourse together with Isaiah.
